Guess What I found in my Craft Room!

Ha ha this title looks like a “Click Bate” Title doesn’t it??

Well OK what did I find in my Craft Room? I found my MOJO! It has been slowly creeping back onto my Desk of Craft and now I feel like I have it back.

This is my take on Abstract Art – ha hem!!!! I love these Backdrop Stamps.

Of course being back and finding my Mojo doesn’t mean I am any more organised though? So Guess what, I forgot to watch the Clarity Shows today on HOCHANDA TV. Thank goodness you can go and get them on Catch-up on the HOCHANDA APP.

I really enjoyed making this one. I love the umbrella as – in fact I love Solid Stamps because they allow you to do so much with your inks or paints.

Not only did I forgot to watch them but forgot to record them. I always record them but I must admit our Sky Box is getting a little bit full, good job we have a different one upstairs.

I mixed in a few of my “Overly Excited” Stamps with the lovely Character Stamps and a Gel Print – it also has the Circle Backdrop Stamp and some of Dee’s Clarity Papers and Stickers. Sometimes you look at a card and just don’t see how much is involved in it don’t you? Well I don’t me YOU I mean US!

I think sadly I am going to have to delete, OMG I can hardly say it, I will have to DELETE some of the shows. I have my very First DT Card being shown on the Claritystamp Shows where Barbara introduced me as a new Design Team Member.

I will add this Bookmark onto my Quick & Easy Tutorial List. The Backdrop is an old 12 by 12 card that is part of my Interesting Photo Backgrounds, sometimes you need more than just Black or White to make a card stand out.

I think some people may take this the wrong way, am I big headed keeping shows with myCards on display? No I don’t think so, I am proud of being on the team, proud that I accomplished what a year earlier I had thought was a distant dream and because I recorded them from the beginning to now with very few missed, its kind of hard to start and delete then.,

I enjoyed this one. It has the Round Background Stamps, Characters Stamps, Ink, Paint, Polychromes! Mixed Media I suppose!

It’s nice to look back sometimes to see where I started and where I ended up, well actually I didn’t end up anywhere with regard to design. I never know what is going to happen when I pick up those Stamps or Stencils and a Piece of Card so I am still on that journey.

This is one of the the Background Character Stamp, I loved making this and will add it to my Demo List. The full card with this on is the next one down.
So this is the full card. Look how many backgrounds you can make with those silhouette Stamps. This is just the tip of the InkPad, so to speak!

I quite often surprise myself in what I can achieve and I quite often surprise myself in a less positive way too! I mean, if only you could see the cards I spend hours and hours on just to eventually put them in file 13. If they don’t look good in my Camera after all that work, they definitely won’t work on Tv. Sometimes you just have to let go. Sometimes I chop them up to use as backgrounds for the Word stickers.

So I wonder where my Crafty Hands will take me this year. Definitely with Claritystamp, unless Barb knows something I don’t, ha ha!

As I was making this card below I remembered a verse I had written for these two characters in their original form. It goes like this……

Oh Come to me now my Lover Boy… and let me fill your days… with Joy and Laughter and lots of Love…. till we go our separate ways……

Obviously its a Summer Romance????

For this card used the Background Stamps, My Overly Excited Stamps, Characters and Sticker Sheets.

Did you watch the Clarity Shows on HOCHANDA TV? Did you buy anything? I love these stamps, especially the Characters, they have always been amongst my favourites, but now with the new re-mastered version of them you have even more play.

I tell you what, it felt good to see my desk this full of samples again, and so MESSY!!!!

I will be starting up my tutorials on here again. I have been asked to demo some of my Stamps too. I have written stacks of Blogs over the past few months but didn’t get them posted in time. So wish me luck with this one.

Blimey look at all these un-published Blogs that I have written. Sometimes, I just talk too much so it becomes boring, then sometimes I edit too much and it ends up with No Content? And sometimes the writing and the editing takes me so long that I kind of Miss the Boat! How does my Boss Barbara Gray manage to Blog Every Single Day!!!! Hats off to you Barbara. Xx

Thanks for popping in, please like and follow my Blog if you want to see more.

Wish me luck on ACTUALLY GETTING THIS POSTED!

Bye for now,

Sam Crowe xxx

  1. As I watched the shows on Hochanda today & the stamps dropped into my shopping basket I thought to myself I wish there was a step by step for some of these wonderful cards. Then I opened my emails & saw your latest link to your blog so look forward to seeing how you achieved some of your cards – they are amazing.
Back to the recordings, we are on Virgin which doesn’t have Hochanda but our TV has a record to USB facility so my OH has attached a small hard drive so I record from the Freeview element so I have all the craft programmes that I want to refer back to on there.

  2. I totally understand you recording all those shows. I was just looking back at some binders I have with the cards I started making 6 years ago maybe. I was going to toss them, but them decided I would keep them for a bit and maybe take pics of them before I trash them if I can bear too. Over the last year or two I have started taking and keeping photos for my blog(s) and keep those instead of the cards.

I too hope to someday be on a DT I have never heard of these products, but your cards looked very nice and I liked the characters as well so I will have to go take a peak.

Good luck getting this post online and getting your MOJO back in gear.

    1. Did you know that there is a Group on FB where they look for people who want to be on Design Teams? If you look up “Design Team Calls”. That seems like a good group to join. I have just followed your Blog, do you post any of your Cards on there?

  3. Welcome back Sam! Fantastic artwork, as always. I have to admit I’m suffering with a lost mojo too but and ever hopeful of finding it again soon!

  4. Congratulations on finding your MOJO. I loved your samples on Hochanda.
You could possibly transfer your recordings to a USB and then keep a back up.
