Clarity Samples Sunday 6th November 22

Hello there. I have made some samples for the @Claritystamp shows on @CreateandCraft Today – show times 2 -3 + 3-4PM. it carries on consecutively but if you want to record you have to record individual hours, or at least I do on Skye.

You can watch the shows on –

Skye 683

– Freest – 813

-Freeview – 85

– Virgin 758

  • Apple TV – Fire TV – ROKU

Now I didn’t make many samples but I could have, easily, I just ran out of time. I had brought some craft gear downstairs into my Conservatory so I could craft in-between jobs, or cups of tea or whenever. The conservatory is the lightest part of the house and my favourite place in Winter because it is so bright and gets Sunshine a lot, for Winter! .But its a matter of weeks before my Kitchen gets fitted, three in fact so I thought I had best start moving all my Craft stuff Back upstairs.

A little Elf Money Pocket for Xmas – or Gift Card Holder – or Just a different way of giving a Card!

This is the Products I used for the Front of the Card/Envelope.

Well – I couldn’t believe the state of my Craft Room when I went to put everything back in it. I hadn’t been in it for a while but thought it was left quite empty – ish as most of my main craft items had ended up downstairs!! But no, it was full of goodness knows what. Well full of storage boxes, bags, bins etc which made it look really impossible to fit it all back in it!

This “Mixed Media style Xmas Card” – Money Gift Envelope or Gift Card Holder has two different designs on – The intention is to show how you can just play with the stamps and make your own style of whichever of the above you are making.
These are the products I used for this side of the Card/Envelope

However, when I re-tidied all my Ikea Drawers and chucked out all those bits and bobs that you keep for ever, and Gel Prints that I just would never use, and re-sorted all my pens and pencils and cutting mats (5 cutting/scoring boards, and I had just got rid of 2 already) – well by the time I did that I had a few spaces EMPTY!!! YES I SAID I ACTUALLY HAD SOME EMPTY DRAWERS!!

I love doing a bit of Grungy Stamping with these types of Stamps by @Claritystamp

Well an empty drawer is a Crafters dream! We have so many things we want to put in them, don’t we? So I emptied all the bins, and bags and storage boxes and it turns out there wasn’t that much in them really. So, it was the Storage itself that was taking up all the space. Its now back in the conservatory ready to store things from my Kitchen when I unpack my cupboards.

I made this card pretty quickly and just enjoyed it – forgot I was actually making a sample. Stamps are meant to be enjoyed not to be too thoughtful about! Sometimes!?
These are the Products I used to make this card.

So do you want to know what I keep in my Drawers???? I will tell you in my next Blog. In the past yearsI have made many videos and taken pictures on how to clear out and arrange your craft room but have never posted them. I brought in my 4 years Interior Design teachings at College and made a careful drawing with measurements etc several years ago and you know what, it’s starting to make a difference. So just to keep myself busy, and to keep myself organised I will do a blog section just for this if you are interested it would be great, if not I will just be talking to myself and I do that a lot anyway!!!

This was just going to say Merry Xmas but the Elves made me feel like adding a little surprise to the Card! Wait for it…….

My life hasn’t changed, I am still grieving, I am still having to check that the Bladder Cancer doesn’t come back and I am still suffering with my newly found Arthritis in my Knee, I wish someone would tell my Right knee that it doesn’t have Arthritis, because it keeps coming out in sympathy with my left Knee! The Dr refuses to see me and discuss it, it was the Receptionist at the Dr’s who read out my Xray results to me!!!! When I complained about this the Dr called her His Assistant – which is bollocks, she is a Receptionist. Anyway he gave me some loopy pills which I refuse to take.

I love doing little things like this.

So, in order to cope with what’s in my head, I need to keep busy with my Hands. Thank goodness for Crafting and messy Craft Rooms Eh!!! So watch this space, or don’t!

Wait for it!
You could add a cheeky message or a name under here instead?

I hope you like my Clarity DT Samples. Did you watch the shows, Are you watching the shows today? Now the right questions depends on what time I post this blog – pre-written for the first time ever!! Blogs take so long I rarely get them out at the right time for the samples shown, so my new way of Blogging is to Pre-blog.

Thank you for popping by. – Please Follow my Blog, Like or comment, or NOT? – its up to you.

See you soon

  1. Hi Sam
I’d know your samples anywhere – you have such a distinctive style! I’ve been making crochet items for a craft sale, so there are piles of yarn all over my house, and my Christmas cards aren’t even started yet!!!
When we moved into our new house we put in a fitted office, which doubles as my craft area, but I never have enough room, so organisational tips are always welcome.
I know you like poetry, and I follow a lady called Donna Ashworth, who has just published a collection called Loss – she’s on Facebook if you’d like to see her work? or maybe writing about your grief in an art journal would be helpful to get some of the mixed emotions out? I feel for you with your health problems on top of your grief.
Good luck with the kitchen! Susan

  2. Hi Sam. Good to see you getting back in the arty saddle my friend!! Always love your take on our stamps and stencils – you are very good. The shows were 3-5 not 2-4. But it wouldn’t be owed Sam if she got that right too!!! I Love you and I love your blog. Keep going. You have so much Life to still live xxx

  3. Thanks for sharing your samples, I watched the shows on my laptop with my headphones in. The 2 hours flew by though. I am also trying to sort out my craft room – removing stuff that hasn’t seen the light of day for years as crafting styles have changed. Quite frightening to see how much there is – just need to find a new home for it all.
Sorry to hear that you have not been well, hope you start to feel better soon & at least find something to ease the arthritis pain. Keeping busy is a great distraction, aren’t we lucky to have crafting to turn to. Your new kitchen looks great & is something to look forward to. We replaced our wood grain doors with red doors a few years ago, I wasn’t sure at first but once they were all in place they made such a difference.
    Crafty hugs xx
